Countertops

What does "sealing" a granite countertop mean?

Granite is a natural stone that has many very small natural fissures from the time it was formed eons ago in the earth. By applying sealer on a 6-month to a yearly basis, you can guard against substances penetrating the surface and leaving stains. Many of our granite countertops come with a 15 year sealer at no additional cost.

Why are solid surface countertops called "renewable"?

A solid surface countertop is a manmade product that has consistent color through out. When scratches occur, the surface can be buffed out and "renewed" to the original smooth sheen.
